TURNING POINTS
FOR ORCHESTRA

TURNING POINTS
I have a mild obsession with looking back at turning points in my life, where seemingly insignificant events or decisions led to dramatic changes. I often question how many of those events were under my control, and whether those decisions were made with much consideration of where they might eventually lead.
The turning point of this piece arrives around two minutes in. The Clarinet solo that had been attempted earlier on now finds itself supported by the rest of the orchestra, and the piece can continue to its conclusion.
